More than the flu

Hacker attacks are like those of the flu that hit us hard a couple times a year.  I thought that two weeks ago, when they attacked Generation Y and had it out of circulation for more than 24 hours.  It seems, however, that the colds are frequent and cause more than a simple fever.

Penúltimos Días, the blog of Ernesto Hernandez Busto is now under the influence of one of these infections. The best vaccine is solidarity, so we’re going to stay on top of it and keep posting on the web, to get the bacilli of censorship under control.

What is a DDoS?

  1. I’m glad you’re here and hope Ernesto will be up and about shortly from his ‘flu’ symptoms. It’s a nasty time of year for all things invasive.

  2. Answer for Patricio: The cowards most threatened by Generación Y.

Most governments have their expert crackers and hackers.

  3. I have also noticed that the Regime has its computer colaborators also working the Travel oriented web sites and the chat rooms of the Miami TV programs. If you write something contrary to what they like you will get files sent to yours IP address trying to knock you down. Its good that the Regigme gets exposed worldwide for the abuse that exists in Cuba. The revolution has failed you and the proof is in the pudging. Yoani, if your computer system stops working, please send a smoke signal cause I’ll read it. God bless you champ.

  4. I follow another blog in the US that had its whole host server hacked last week. Caused lots of upheaval.
That time it was a group called AstalaVista that brags it can hack into anything, but by the way if you pay dues
you wont be. Does that sound like protection/extortion to you. It does to me.

So I posted your blog there, so that they can see that things are the same/worse/better in CUBA…take your
    choice.

  5. I think I would be arrested upon my arrival in Havana due to my mouth going off. Not smart, I know. I just don’t think I could contain myself. The law school I went to had an educational trip to Havana before the Bush admin tightened the embargo. I was asked to join the next one and I was definitely interested in going. I thought I would behave myself, and I probably would have, but I don’t know. I don’t like anyone telling me or my family how to live. So long as we aren’t hurting our neighbor, what is the problem? Nevermind, “hurting your neighbor” is a very subjective term.
